Concerts
We invite you to attend one of our many concerts throughout the season. This year we're hosting a special fundraiser called Waltzing with the Youth Symphony. This exciting night of dancing and desserts will be held at the Harman Center. For more information, or to financially support this event, please email us. The Winter and Spring Concerts, and KinderKoncert are held at the Capitol Theater. For a complete list performances and their dates please refer to our Calendar page.
Donations
Thanks to the hard work of many parents and community volunteers, the Yakima Youth Symphony Orchestra has been able
to provide an full orchestral experience for students in the Yakima Valley for many years.
We are proud to offer this unique opportunity for young people to experience the benefits of a classical music education right here in the Yakima Valley. But the reality is, each year we must find the funds to continue.
Flat Donation: Please consider a flat donation to help make this possible. The YYSO is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Your donation may be tax deductible.

KinderKoncert Sponsors: Please consider sponsoring the KinderKoncert in February, 2010. This is our biggest outreach to the community for budding musicians. Kids of all ages can attend free!!
Did You Know…?
- Tuition pays for just a portion of YYSO’s operating expenses.
- YYSO offers the ONLY opportunity for students to play classical music in a full symphony orchestra in the Yakima area.
- Classical music is good for you! The benefits of music education in the lives of young people cannot be overstated. Emphasizing and enhancing music education expands the students’ knowledge in a variety of subjects, improves their test scores, and releases their creativity.
